Hey folks, it’s time to give you some updates about my job search.
Bad news: still no offer.
But there’s a catch 😀
I sped things up a bit with the job applications this month, one a day whenever possible.
Some have also moved forward through multiple steps and are currently pending. The timing is also a bit particular, being right before the Christmas holidays, so I’m hoping that with the start of the new year they might have an outcome… positive or negative, whatever it will be.
I’ve tweaked my CV a couple of times and taken some tests.
I put aside the “one page” format for a “detailed” version, with much more information.
The current version has 3 full pages packed with details about each project, to help better understand what I’ve done.
I tried to focus on the things that had the biggest impact, because if I really wanted to include every single thing I’ve done in these 10 years, I’d need a little booklet and not a résumé.
Anyway, this format seems to work better.
With the first version, talking with recruiters, it came out that they didn’t really understand what exactly I had worked on and how.
We’ll see if this will be the final version or if more will follow. I’ll keep you posted 😉
I don’t know if I’ll manage to write more in the next few weeks; as I said in the previous post, I’ve earned myself a bit of vacation!
