The letter is about to arrive.

Everywhere — blogs, books, podcasts — they all recommend daily journaling. I’m not exactly sure why.

They say it helps… to line up your thoughts.

So I told myself: at this point, why not? Why shouldn’t I give it a try?

And that’s how this blog was born. The journey of an expat family man, searching for a new job.

Job hunting in the IT field in Switzerland is said to take about 6 to 9 months in this rather gloomy historical moment.

A side note for those outside the industry: just 2 or 3 years ago, recruiters on LinkedIn were absolute stalkers — messages almost every day with all sorts of offers.
Many colleagues rode the wave and embraced compulsive job-hopping to pocket some extra cash. Good for them. Foolish me. Maybe today I wouldn’t be in this situation.
Or maybe I would — since even ultra-Swiss giants like PostFinance and Swisscom have now outsourced to Portugal and Latvia. So, c’est la vie.

Anyway, there are quite a few months ahead to jot down a few lines.

Here we go.

As an IT guy, I could start by building the blog myself from scratch.
- Edit. At moment, we have a simple static blog -

And maybe that’s what I’ll do.

But for now, let’s start with a few simple posts.
